Automated Wheelchair Assistance
A simulated two-wheeled caregiver robot that navigates an apartment, responds to spoken commands, supports VR teleoperation, and autonomously connects to and tows a wheelchair.
- Built autonomous apartment navigation and wheelchair towing in MuJoCo.
- Added speech commands and a Meta Quest interface for VR teleoperation.
- Developed mapping and navigation using RGB images, wheel encoders, and IMU data, with persistent memory of obstacles, landmarks, and routes.
- Used ArUco markers to identify destinations and navigate to learned rooms.
